(ASI) Toronto (Cnada) - Fino ad oggi, a Toronto, molte comunità' etniche hanno promosso la loro arte cinematografica e con essa automaticamente lo sviluppo sociale, tecnologico ed artistico dei loro paesi e l'Italia, per anni, e' stato un grande assente in questo contesto. Con l'ICFF (Italia Contemporary Film Festival), posto a conclusione dell'Italian Heritage Month, Cristiano De Florentis e Maurizio Magnifico, fondatori dell'evento, hanno voluto dare un sostanziale contributo alla promozione della nuova industria cinematografica italiana a Toronto.

Il Console Generale d'Italia dr. Gianni Bardini ha espresso pieno sostegno all'ICFF che, dopo tanti anni, mostrerà' una nuova Italia ed attirera' l'interesse di tutte le realtà' etniche residenti a Toronto, e particolarmente delle giovani generazioni. Questa iniziativa, sponsorizzata dalla banca IC Savings and Credit Union, rappresentata in conferenza stampa da Francesco Riondino, e da altre aziende italo canadesi, si svolgerà dal 26 giugno al 2 luglio 2012, nelle sale Royal Cinema di College Street e AMC 30 Interchange Cinemas di Vaughan. Tra le varie proiezioni, il 30 giugno, ci sarà la prima canadese del film di Woody Allen "To Rome with Love". Al termine della manifestazione, presso il TIFF Bell Lightbox, verranno premiato il miglior film scelto dal pubblico e, con l'Angela Baldassarre Award, il miglior film del festival.Maggiori informazioni sulla manifestazione sono disponibili al sito web www.icff.ca
In Toronto many ethnic communities promoted their film arts and intrinsically their social development, technology and arts of their countries. Italy, for many years, missed this opportunity as a notable absentee in this context. With the ICFF (Italian Contemporary Film Festival), placed at the end of the Italian Heritage Month, the event co-founders Cristiano De Florentis and Maurizio Magnifico, wanted to make a substantial contribution to the promotion of the new Italian film industry in Toronto. The Consul General of Italy dr. Gianni Bardini has expressed full support to the ICFF that, after so many years, it will show a new image of Italy and will attract the interest of residents from different ethnicity in Toronto, and particularly younger generations. This initiative, sponsored by the IC Savings and Credit Union Bank, represented at the press conference by Francesco Riondino, together with other italian canadian companies, will be held from June 26 to July 2, 2012, at the Royal Cinema, on College Street, and AMC 30 Cinemas Interchange in Vaughan. Among the various screeningss there will be the Canadian Premiere of Woody Allen's eagerly awaited "To Rome with Love", on June 30 at the Royal Cinema. Six days of screenings and receptions will be capped with the Closing Night Ceremony on July 1, 2012 at 9:00 PM at TIFF Bell Lightbox where the ICFF will announce the winners of two inaugural award: People's Choice Award and Angela Baldassarre Award for the "Best Film" of the ICFF.
